How to Develop a Graph

Quick and Easy Steps


Insert a Chart

1. Place your cursor where you wish the graph to be inserted.

2. Click on the Insert tab.

3. Select Chart.

4. From the drop-down menu, please select the type of chart or graph that you would like to create from the options listed by clicking on its image.

5. When the Chart in Microsoft Word excel spreadsheet opens, please type in the information that you wish to include.

Change the Chart Design

1. Double-click on the chart or graph to open the Chart Design tab.

2. Click on the element that you would like to change from the menu at the top of the screen, such as Add Chart Element, Quick Layout, or Change Colors.

3. Also, the Style can be changed by clicking on the icon for a different style from the menu at the top of the screen.


Modify the Chart Title

1. Double-click on the chart's title to modify the text.

2. Use the Format Text box on the right side of the screen to change the title's color and shading.
